OPERATIONS ASSISTANT

JOB OVERVIEW

As an assistant to the Operations Manager in the maintenance department, your role would involve supporting day-to-day operations and ensuring the smooth functioning of maintenance tasks related to trucks and truck parts.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  1. Day-to-Day Operations Support

    • Assist Operations Manager.

  2. Purchasing and Monitoring of Truck Parts

    • Parts procurement: Assist in identifying the truck parts needed for regular maintenance or unexpected repairs. This includes creating and maintaining a list of essential parts to be purchased.

    • Work within budget: Ensure that all purchases are within the designated budget and help the Operations Manager with cost management and reporting.

  3. Coordination with Truck Parts Suppliers

    • Supplier communication: Regularly communicate with suppliers to place orders, follow up on deliveries, and resolve any issues with parts or orders.

    • Negotiate prices: Assist with negotiating prices and terms with suppliers to ensure the company is getting the best value for parts purchased.

    • Track order status: Monitor the status of orders to ensure timely delivery of parts and reduce downtime due to delays.

    • Vendor relationship management: Maintain a positive relationship with suppliers, ensuring high-quality parts and services are provided.

  4. Documentation and Reporting

    • Record keeping: Maintain accurate records of all truck part purchases, inventory, and maintenance logs for future reference.

    • Generate reports: Help the Operations Manager prepare reports on truck maintenance activities, parts usage, and inventory levels.

    • Compliance tracking: Ensure that all parts and maintenance procedures comply with regulatory standards and internal company policies.

  5. Process Improvement

    • Evaluate and improve efficiency: Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvements within the maintenance department to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

    • Suggest alternatives: Based on feedback and observations, suggest alternative suppliers or maintenance strategies that could improve operations.

  6. Collaboration and Communication

    • Team coordination: Support the maintenance team by ensuring they have the right parts and tools for repairs and service.

    • Address urgent requests: Handle emergency parts requests and assist the Operations Manager in prioritizing urgent maintenance work.

By performing these tasks efficiently, you’ll help ensure the smooth and effective operation of the maintenance department and assist the Operations Manager in overseeing all maintenance activities for the fleet.

Education:

College graduate of any course

 

Experience:

Operation - 1 year (preferred)

Working Language:​

Tagalog

English

 

Ability To Commute / Relocate To:

Meycauayan, Bulacan​

Pay: Starting at Php14,500+ per month

 

Schedule: 8 hour shift
